FELICE DA MORIRE

(2023)

Collaboration with  Benedetta Spada, Ilaria Pinosa, Sofia Marietti.

In this project we explore the concept of happiness through unexpected and playful elements that are captured in different moments by each individual, just as easter eggs. Our aim is to create an installation that challenges conventional notions of happiness. We wanted to introduce an element that is entirely unexpected and bizarre in the context of happiness: an image of death. The installation is a cloud of tombstones because happiness is ephemeral as a cloud and eternal as a tombstone.

aa.

We incorporated a series of rectangular tiles that symbolize people and their lives, while also resembling gravestones in a cemetery. This fusion of images is the translation of the oxymoron we want to convey.

bb.

These interconnected tiles will be suspended 2 meters above the ground, forming a cloud-like structure that constantly changes shape depending on the person interacting with it.

cc.

The installation has no rule and can be assembled as desired, reflecting the idea that happiness knows no bounds.

The project arrives with a kit perfectly packed in a 40x60x60cm white cardboard box. It is advisable to handle it with care because, as the tape that acts as a closure suggests, the contents are FRAGILE. Inside each kit you will find 17 tombstones, one different from the other both in terms of shapes and veins.
